Northern State Project

The Vision? Create a thriving Sedro-Woolley Innovation For Tomorrow (SWIFT Center) on the 225-acre North State Campus site.

To achieve that vision, the City of Sedro-Woolley, Skagit County, and the Port of Skagit are partnering to position the Northern State Property for redevelopment. The property has been annexed into the city.

The Center’s first tenant is expected to be Janicki Bioenergy, which has plans to make the Center its global headquarters and research & development core.  Their pipeline of projects includes the Omni Processor project, developing a waterless energy-less toilet, and a new water free home.

The Sedro-Woolley Innovation For Tomorrow (SWIFT Center)  first tenant is expected to be Janicki Bioenergy. It is anticipated that hundreds of STEM jobs could be located at the Center in the next five years.

Janicki Bioenergy’s innovations will not only change the world, but will shape the future of Sedro-Woolley.
