"I am STEM" - 3 Minute Video Contest

Cash prizes? You bet! All films screened at the Lincoln Theatre in Mount Vernon? Absolutely! Will you become a rich and famous filmmaker? Maybe.

It’s Skagit STEM Network’s “I Am STEM  -Three-Minute Video Contest” open to high school student filmmakers.

High School students are invited to create a 3-minute “documentary” to showcase the people and places where STEM jobs are happening in our region and our thriving STEM economy. It can also showcase opportunities for future employment and family wage jobs. Films must be shot in Skagit, Island, Snohomish or Whatcom Counties.

Today, our region’s STEM economy can be seen in our businesses, health care industry, family farms, wineries, environmental service companies, IT jobs, high tech companies, construction and manufacturing firms and other businesses and government agencies.
